This is the first Dinosaur BBQ to open in history. Built in the early 1920’s, 246 W. Willow St. was the home to various barrooms, including the N&H Tavern, for more than 50 years. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que opened its doors in 1988, selling only BBQ before opening the full bar in 1991. The restaurant was reconfigured a few times, including adding two private party rooms upstairs in what was formerly Andy’s Cycle Shop. At the Syracuse location, we have off-site catering, along with pickup, delivery, drop off with servers and full service. At the restaurant upstairs you can choose between two private party rooms or choose both. The main room seats up to 125 people and also has a stage with a sound system and a full bar. The Willow Room seats up to 40 and has a private balcony with additional seating for 18.
We love our Dino Dogs! Make sure to bring your four-legged friends to join you for dinner at any of our outdoor seating areas. We provide water bowls lots of good smells! Join us for the 9th Annual Easter Extravaganza! This event will take place at the Syracuse Dinosaur Bar-B-Que's private upstairs dining space on Sunday, April 21st. There will be two seatings: 12pm-2pm & 3pm-5pm.
As you dig into the Easter BBQ buffet, enjoy the talented Charles Cannon and the Bells of Harmony, a local gospel group and Syracuse Hall of Fame inductees.
For $35 (Call for kids pricing) you will receive our full "soup to nuts experience" which will include a carving station with a variety of smoked meats, a selection of side dishes and some great starters. Start or finish your meal with a bloody mary bar and a buffet of dessert - we don't judge!
